The American Labor Museum takes part in the Annual Smithsonian Magazine’s Museum Day
Haledon, New Jersey – On Saturday, September 22nd, 2018 the American Labor Museum/Botto House National Landmark joins over a thousand museums and cultural institutions across the country by participating in Smithsonian magazine’s Annual Museum Day Live!
On Saturday, September 22nd, 2018, free admission will be provided to each attendee plus one guest who present a Museum Day Live! ticket available to download beginning in August on the magazine's website: www.smithsonianmag.com. The ticket will gain free entrance for two at participating venues for one day only.
Museum Day Live! is a one-day nationwide event designed to celebrate museums and cultural insitutions.
The Botto House National Landmark, home of the American Labor Museum, is located at 83 Norwood Street in Haledon, NJ. It was the meeting place for over 20,000 silk mill workers during the 1913 Paterson Silk Strike. The Museum offers a free lending library, restored period rooms, changing exhibits, Museum Store, Old World Gardens, educational programs and special events. Visitors are welcome Wednesday through Saturday from 1-4 PM and by appointment on a daily basis.
