We proudly announce the publication of a photographic history Around Haledon: Immigration and Labor. The book is one of many outstanding and engaging titles
in Arcadia Publishing's images of America Seriees. It is avalable at the Museum Store and in bookstores.

Around Haledon: Immigration and Labor features over 170 photographs highlighting the history of Haledon, New Jersey from 1880 to 1930. Special attention focuses on the
borough's immigrants and labor activities, particularly the 1913 Paterson Silk Strike.Many of the photographs were selected from the collection of the Museum's collection.

The book was created by Museum Director Angela Santomauro and Museum Education Director Evelyn Hershey with the assistance and input of Museum's interns, volunteers and knowlegeable members of the local community.

Around Haledon: Immigration and Labor is dedicated to New Jersey's workingpeople and immigrants who sacrificed and perservered to establish justice in theworkplace as a means of paving a less chalenging road on which we all walk.
