Passaic County Students Sought
           for "Yes We Can! Project
Learning About & Creating Social Change
The museum invites students grades 3-12 to share their unique ideas
and creative talents by participating in the "
Yes We Can" Project:
Learning About & Creating Social Change.
Due to the success
of past years projects, the museum and the Passaic Counry Education
Association (PCEA) have decided to provide students with an opportunity
to utilize their visual arts and creative writing skills.

Registered students will select a cause, concern or issue that he or she believes is important to his or her community and will develop a plan of
action for positive social change. Selected art projects amd student essays
will be featured in an exhibit at the museum.

Angelica Santomauro, Director of the Museum, announceed the project, saying,"This program enables young people to express themselves creatively and think about the importance of positive social change as did
the striking sik mill workers who peacefully assembled at the Botto House in 1913 and worked together to bring about positive changes in their workplaces and daily lives. It is also a lifetime opportunity to have one's own work exhibited at the museum. Partcipating students will always remember the experience.

The project is made possible by the generous support of the Passaic County Education Associations. This is the seventh year that the PCEA has awarded funds to the museum for educational programs.
