Often referred to as "Labor's Schoolhouse," the museum is an award-winning learning center.  As an educational partner with the New Jersey Department of Education, educators who attend museum sponsored workshops, receive Professional Development Credits.

Through a 2010 - 2011 Stabilization Grant from the New Jersey Cultural Trust, the museum has installed new videoconferencing equipment, which enables labor and immigrant studies to reach around the world.

The museum is also a proud partner of the Garden State Distance Learning Consortium and the New York Institute of Technology - EEZ.

In addition to the museum's programming, a free public library of books, films, music and research papers are available to the general public.
