Mill Worker & Mill OwnerMill Worker & Mill Owner is an interdisciplinary program for grades 4-12.  It explores New Jersey History, including industrialization, multiculturalism and labor studies.  The program includes a teacher's packet with lesson plans, activity sheets, documentary materials and a strike role-playing exercise.  Two videos, "Smokestacks and Steeples" and "The House on the Green" may be rented to accompany the lessons.  Guided tours of the Botto House and Lambert Castle focus on industrialization, immigration and the contrasting lifestyles of mill workers and owners.  Reservations may be made by contacting the American Labor Museum.

Labor Education ProgramLabor Education Program is an interdiciplinary program for grades 4-12.  The objective of the program is to enable students to develop an understanding of the history of working people in New Jersey as a means of realizing their own potential to implement improved conditions in tomorrow's workplace.  The program includes a teacher's packet with lesson plans, activity shees, documentary materials and a strike role-playing exercise.  Guided tours of the Botto House and the Paterson Museum focus on industrialization, immigration and the working conditions.  Reservations may be made by contacting the American Labor Museum.
